It is a subcategory within the mini album one, not so much because of its size but because of
its capacity. It is a simple album, much flatter (hence its name "folio") than regular albums. It usually has a folder format and has more pockets than an ordinary album (to give it a little more capacity).
With regard to its structure, it usually consists of a front and back cover and little else. There are those who add a page, there are those who do not. In essence, it would be a folder with pockets and some foldables, a structure that can even be added to a typical album.
